Pune: Raj Tiwari, Ravina Gaikwad, Sakshi Bhandari, Saurabh Mehra won the 21kms and 10kms races in their categories respectively at the Pune City Half Marathon in Pune conceptualised by The Poona Club Ltd and executed by Dorabjee Charitable Trust in association with HQ Southern Command. In the race held today, Raj Tiwari(01.08.11sec) won the 21km Male Category. Ravina Gaikwad(01.27.45sec) won the 21km Female category.
Saurabh Mehra emerged winner in the 10km Male event completing the race in (30.56sec), while 10km female event was won by Sakshi Bhandari(36.51sec). The event is conceptualised by The Poona Club Ltd in association with HQ Southern Command and executed by Dorabjee Charitable Trust and supported by Southern Command, Income Tax Dept Pune, Pune Police, Dept of Goods and Services (GST) and the Pune Municipal Corporation. The Pune City Half Marathon held today saw 15000 plus participants in the 3km, 5km, 10km, 21km categories. Every Participant was awarded a Dry Fit T-shirt, Finisher medal, Sling bag with exciting goodies.
The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr. Gaurav Gadhoke, President of Poona Club Ltd, Mr. Shailesh Ranka, Committee Member and Race Director and Mr. Jehangir Dorabjee, Dorabjee Charitable Trust, Mr. Tushar Aswani, Sports Chairman and Committee member of Poona Club were present on the occassion. Most of the dignitaries participated in this marathon.
